So what about that privacy thing?

Hi everyone! I'm new here and thought I'd start off with a "light" topic. So... how and when do you approach the topic of privacy in your products/businesses? Is it something on top of your minds when planning/building/launching your products or do you see it more as a compliance headache you try avoiding until you can't anymore (e.g. because customers start demanding it)?

Samuel, you're right to focus on privacy—it's crucial in today's digital age. Ensuring robust data protection measures are in place is not just about compliance, but about earning user trust.

@tim_yang2 I agree 100%. In some countries/regions privacy is a legally binding basic human right (e.g. in the EU), in the US on the other hand, it’s more focused on consumer rights (if at all). But in the end, like so many other things in life, it all boils down to trust.

Privacy concerns are paramount in today's digital age, Samuel. It's essential that products and services transparently address how they protect user data and respect privacy rights.

@zijian can’t agree more. If you’re sharing your personal data with anyone, you want to make sure you know that it’s secure and what it’s being used for. It’s strange to me that so many people (and companies) just can’t seem to grasp how important this is for society and business.
